The Yassy County Center for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture in Romania hosted a presentation of the exhibition “Manifesto of Life: Easter Eggs from Ukraine.”
At the presentation, Zoya Stashuk, together with master artisan Ana Zabava, conducted a master class for Romanian children on creating Ikanich-style Easter eggs from Mariupol.
This creative gathering was not merely a lesson in Easter egg painting, but became a space for authentic learning, collaboration, and discovery. The master class took place in an atmosphere of inspiration and creative energy. As a keepsake, the Romanian children received hand-made pysanka amulets featuring the unique patterns of the Nadazivsky Ikanich pysankas.
The exhibition “Manifesto of Life. Easter Eggs from Ukraine” features unique Easter eggs from the Nadaziv Greek community of Ikanich, “Sorokoput” Easter eggs found in the Odesa region, Easter eggs reflecting the ornamental traditions of the Kyiv region, and distinctive Bukovinian Easter eggs.
