With solemn yet heartfelt events, the Velykonovosilkivska community celebrated one of the most important holidays for our nation – the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, which traditionally coincides with the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and the sacred Feast of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. The central event was titled "Our Defenders – Our Pride", and it brought together local servicemen and their families.
A particularly poignant moment was the presence of the mother of fallen Hero Volodymyr Antypov, who gave his life for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
Victoria Vorobtsova, Head of the Department of Social Welfare and Healthcare of the Velykonovosilkivska Village Council, addressed the audience with words of deep gratitude and support.
On behalf of the Head of the Village Military Administration, Serhii Kravchenko, assistance was provided to the families of servicemen as a gesture of care and appreciation from the community.
Participants had the opportunity to speak with the servicemen and take part in creative workshops – weaving paracord bracelets, which have become symbols of unity and strength, and crafting traditional motanka dolls, protective charms of Ukrainian households.
The event was accompanied by musical greetings and heartfelt messages of support for the soldiers who continue to defend our country today.
