An enemy shell hit the house where the girl lived with her family. Her father Dmytro and mother Olha were killed alongside her.
Anya was born on August 31, 2010, in Lyman. She grew up in a railway family. She studied at the local secondary school No. 2 (grades I–III). She loved baking. She was skilled at drawing, and she also sang and danced.
Teachers remember her as responsible, cheerful, and full of life. They say Anya never forgot her duties at home and at school, and she cared deeply for her family.
“She was talented in her studies and actively participated in competitions. The girl’s cherished dream was to have her own house and a younger brother, but on that day the Russian army destroyed everything: a child’s dreams, her future, and her family,” recalled the school where Anna Holieva studied.
