In early September 2025, the Donetsk Regional Library for Children organized a series of creative activities for children from Donetsk Oblast who were vacationing at the Perlyna Donetska health resort in Zakarpattia. Special attention was paid to psychological support to help children cope with the stress caused by the war.
One of the first events was the Circle of Friendship meeting, where teenagers aged 13-17 worked with cards that helped them better understand themselves, their desires and dreams. This helped them to see their strengths and feel supported by others.
We also held individual sessions as part of the Crown of Dignity project. A cozy atmosphere was created for teenagers with special needs, where they could show their uniqueness and get to know themselves better through creativity.
At the end of the program, we held «Coffee Art» workshops where children painted pictures using coffee. Castles, flowers and images of a happy future appeared on the paper. This showed that even simple materials can be used to create something special.
Psychological support activities helped the children to distract from disturbing events, gave them the opportunity to discover themselves, believe in their own strength and find new friends.
