In conditions of martial law, knowledge of safety rules, first aid skills, and the basics of civil defense are critically important for everyone.
In February 2026, training in the basics of national resistance began for 80 residents of the Donetsk region who are temporarily staying in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. The courses are organized by the Donetsk Region Center for Unity and National Resistance in cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance, with the support of the regional state administration. The aim of the courses is to provide citizens with practical tools to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities in emergency situations.
The training program is comprehensive and adapted to the realities of modern warfare. During the course, students master theoretical and practical modules that include rules for handling weapons, tactics for action within the city, and the basics of mine safety, which is extremely relevant for people from de-occupied or frontline territories.
Particular attention is paid to the course on tactical and pre-medical assistance in accordance with international standards, where each participant learns to independently stop critical bleeding, apply tourniquets, and provide first aid to victims before the arrival of medical personnel.
Training for displaced persons is free of charge and aimed at fostering active citizenship. Recruitment for the corresponding training in Kropyvnytskyi, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia will begin soon.
