The modern labor market is changing, and with it — the opportunities for women. More and more Ukrainian women are choosing atypical professions for themselves, opening new career paths and proving that gender does not determine your abilities.
The State Employment Service helps women acquire in-demand specialties with guaranteed employment. As part of an experimental project, women can receive free education in technical professions that were considered "male" until recently. Among the available fields are working as a truck driver, tractor driver, locksmith, welder, CNC machine operator, renewable energy systems installation technician, and other technical specialties.
🎓 How does it work? It all starts with an employer's application to the employment center. Training is conducted at the request of the enterprise, which, after its completion, is obliged to hire the graduate.
The woman chooses an educational institution from the approved list, and the employment service compensates the training costs (up to 10 living minimums, currently — 30,280 UAH). If the training costs more, the difference can be paid by the employer or the participant herself.
📍 The project is already underway! At the end of May, a group of women from Donetsk region began training for the profession of tractor driver at the Oleksandriisk Professional Agrarian Lyceum.
