The year 2026 marks the eighth consecutive year that promising athletes in Olympic sports have been included in the regional full-time reserve sports team. They are officially employed, receive employment service credit, and are paid salaries from the regional budget. The first payments this year were made on February 26.
The team includes 20 athletes aged 14 to 21. They represent 10 sports: boxing, Greco-Roman wrestling, weightlifting, cycling, judo, athletics (track and field), swimming, sport climbing, triathlon, and taekwondo (WTF). Monthly financial support and additional payments in accordance with sports titles are предусмотрені.
This is not only about training. It is about the opportunity to grow and build a future despite the war. We are creating conditions for the talented youth of Donetsk region to develop and достойно represent Ukraine.
