Within the framework of the national project “Side by Side: Cohesive Communities”, a group of students from the Dobropillia community spent an unforgettable week in the Lviv region for mutual support and cultural exchange.
The host community of Stryi prepared a rich and informative program for the guests. The young Donetsk residents got acquainted with the school life of Stryi region, visited Stryi Lyceum No. 6 and Stasiuk Gymnasium, and took part in joint activities with local students.
Throughout the week, the children traveled around Lviv Oblast, taking excursions to the Tustan Fortress, Drohobych Saltworks, Ivan Franko Museum in the village of Nahuyevychi, John Zeh Pharmacy, the city of Morshyn, Mukko Dairy Farm in Prykarpattia, St. Anne's Church in Boryslav, Pidhirtsi Manor, Stryi Museum of Local Lore, Lviv Museum of Science, and Shevchenko Grove.
The program included sporting activities and cultural events, including the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day, which the guests from Donetsk region joined together with local students.
This week gave the children from Donetsk region warm memories, new friends and a sense of support and care, which is so necessary for childhood in times of war.
We are stronger together! Everything will be Ukraine!
