After being seriously injured in 2015 while escaping from the encirclement in Debaltseve, Oleksandr Lavrushko not only returned to service, but also achieved significant success in sports. This year, he won a bronze medal at the Kyiv Open Archery Championships.

After a series of complicated surgeries and a long period of rehabilitation, Oleksandr Lavrushko, a leading specialist at the dog training center of the Donetsk Oblast Police, became an active participant in sports.  In his free time, the law enforcement officer trains hard, which yields significant results: he has repeatedly won prizes at national competitions.

This year, Oleksandr took part in the Kyiv Open Archery Championship among people with musculoskeletal disorders and won third place, demonstrating his high level of sportsmanship.

From May 9 to 11, UNBROKEN GAMES competitions for veterans and wounded soldiers took place in Lviv. 300 participants from all over Ukraine competed in eight sports. Oleksandr also joined the event and took part in the rowing competition, laser pistol shooting and archery.

Donetsk Police is proud of its employee and wishes him new sporting achievements and inspiration for new victories!
