Valeriia Lymar is a participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Leadership in Action"
Valeria Lymar was born in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast. She is a lecturer, professor, speaker at many international conferences abroad, a UNESCO Academic Program scholar, specializes in international relations, and is a carrier of Eastern Ukrainian values in Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region.
He works at Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University, which was relocated to Vinnytsia in 2014 due to the occupation of Donetsk.
She teaches disciplines in the educational programs "International Relations", "International Economic Relations", "International Law", acts as the Head of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy, and is active in public life, representing the University at international conferences, meetings of public organizations, trainings and workshops. Valeriia is active in social media, where she shares stories of her professional activities, everyday life and her son's sporting achievements.
She currently has dozens of Ukrainian and foreign students whom she has taught during her teaching career and who are now scattered around the world, but who remember, love and respect their teacher, who was and is an example of the steel spirit of Donetsk, a man of word, deed and a huge motivator to learn and improve.
Valeriia works on herself every day, constantly studies, improves her skills, and has vast experience in communicating with people from different regions of the world, religions, and beliefs. She has visited many countries to study foreign cultures, including India and Kenya. She has seen with her own eyes how people live there, who mostly do not have homes, money for food and simple medical treatment.
Valeriia is sincerely proud to be a Ukrainian from the east, with a strong spirit and steely character. "No matter where I am in the world, I always say that I am from Donbas, which gives birth to hardened and strong people. Being born in Donbas is a gift of fate. There can be no other way," Valeria walks through life with these words.
