Liubov Berezhna - participant of the regional competition "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Leadership in Action"
Liubov Berezhna has been heading the Donetsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society for six years. She lives in Kramatorsk and proves every day that a true leader is not only a position, but above all, a responsibility for the people around her.
Together with her team, Lyubov has experienced many difficult and dangerous situations during the war, but managed to maintain her resilience, faith and inspiration. Under her leadership, six organizations are currently operating in Donetsk Oblast and two more are in relocation. They provide humanitarian aid, evacuate people, conduct first aid and mine risk training, and organize psychosocial support activities.
The Time to Stop TB project, which she personally supervises, has a special place in her work and heart. At the same time, Lyubov is constantly meeting new partners, establishing cooperation with the population and authorities to ensure that help reaches the maximum number of people.
Lubov's important rice is the desire to learn. She is convinced that even in the worst times it is necessary to develop and implement modern humanitarian tools. With this example she nadihayet her team and young volunteers.
"It's not the time to stop, it's time to gather and work as one whole. So, it is difficult, sometimes it seems that the forces are inadequate, but we must, because people rely on us," she says. The history of Lubov Berezhnaya is an example of strength, courage and a great heart, which falls with love for her Donetsk region and people.
