Veronika Bahal, a native of Mariupol, rose from a fire safety inspector to head of the media relations department at the Donetsk Oblast State Emergency Service. From the first days of the war, back in 2014, she became the voice of rescuers, recording every enemy strike and highlighting the work of her colleagues who risk their lives in the hottest spots every day.
Her strength lies in the fact that she not only records the consequences of enemy strikes and highlights the work of her colleagues, but also saves the truth from oblivion. Veronika has traveled to the hottest spots in Donetsk region, worked in the blockaded Mariupol, and repeatedly came under enemy fire.
