Oksana Bardusova – participant in the 2025 regional competition “Woman of Donetsk Region,” nominated in the category “Creator of Change and Opportunities”
Every community has people who become symbols of resilience and faith in the future. For the Hrodivska community, this person is Oksana Bardusova, a methodologist at the Center for Culture, Leisure, and Sports, a woman who has managed to turn the challenges of war into a source of strength for others.
She started her career as a piano teacher, but over time became a driving force in the cultural life of the community. The war changed her life: she devoted the first months to volunteering, supporting displaced persons and soldiers, creating cultural events for them that gave them warmth and a sense of home.
Oksana managed to preserve and revive the singing groups Kalynonka and Lirika, which, thanks to her initiatives, began to perform again even during the forced evacuation. She taught her colleagues to work remotely, thanks to which the groups' songs continued to be heard at regional and national events.
But the most touching thing is the project she started, #Архів_пам’яті (Archive of Memory), a series of films about the lives of fallen heroes of the community. For Oksana, memory is not just words, but a real thing that unites generations.
Despite all the difficulties, she finds time for self-development, undergoes training, and shares her knowledge with colleagues, helping the cultural sphere of the community to develop even in the most difficult conditions.
The story of Oksana Bardusova is an example of female strength, kindness, and creativity that can overcome any circumstances. She has become a creator of change and opportunities, keeping the cultural front of the community strong and inspired.
