Tetiana Ivanets – participant in the 2025 regional competition “Woman of Donetsk Region,” nominated in the category “Creator of Change and Opportunities”
Tetiana Ivanets is a candidate of political sciences, associate professor, researcher, educator, wife, and mother. After the relocation of Mariupol State University to Kyiv, she successfully headed the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, and in the fall of 2022, she was elected Chair of the Council of Young Scientists of MSU.
Through her efforts, the Laboratory of Sociological Research was reestablished, on the basis of which, under the guidance of the educator, a number of scientific studies were conducted on the issues of forced migration of Ukrainians in the conditions of war, in particular the study "The syndrome of loss of home in forced migrants: in the wake of the Mariupol tragedy,“ which, according to Tetyana herself, ”was an attempt to make sense of our shared experience, find answers to painful questions, and identify resources for further development." In 2025, she became the coordinator of MDU's cooperation with schoolchildren from communities in the Donetsk region.
Tetyana participates in international projects and acts as an ambassador for her region on various platforms in Ukraine and around the world. Her contributions have been recognized with awards and certificates of appreciation, including from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Donetsk Regional Administration, the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, and the rector of MDU. In 2024, Tetiana was recognized as the “Best Young Scientist of MDU.”
Tetyana's story is one of strength and humanity, an example for students, colleagues, and fellow countrymen, proving that even after losing everything, it is possible to find new resources for life, serve your community and Ukraine, inspire young people, give others faith in the future, and the strength to overcome difficulties.
