Anna Myroshnichenko is a participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Creator of Changes and Opportunities"
Anna Myroshnichenko was born in Donetsk and has been going through trials all her life, which have tempered her character and made her an example of strength for others. She did not break down due to moving and losing her home, but rather became a woman who creates new opportunities even where they seem to be nonexistent.
Her main passion is karate. Despite numerous difficulties, Anna earned a black belt (1st Dan), became a master of sports of Ukraine and a candidate for master of sports. In the most difficult years, when there was a lack of gyms and training, she practiced anywhere, even practicing strikes on a pole instead of makiwara. "A shark has no swim bladder. To survive, you have to keep moving. And I am the same way," says Anna.
She not only trained herself, but also shared her knowledge with others: she created her own karate club in Pokrovsk and trained 20 athletes, five of whom have already won prizes at regional and national tournaments. When the territory began to be seized, Anna transferred the classes to an online format and made sure that her students could continue training in other clubs in Ukraine.
At the same time, she realized a long-held dream: she became an instructor at a training center where she trained police officers. She also mastered paramedicine and traveled to the "hot spots" Donetsk region, where she saved people upon arrival: in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Toretsk. Her day often looked like this: training with police officers in the morning, helping the wounded in the afternoon, training children in the evening, and practicing her own strikes at night.
Even in these conditions, Anna was preparing for the World Karate Championships in Japan, where she won bronze in the kumite division. Today, she trains online under the guidance of coach Volodymyr Zaretskyi (Royal Team club, Odesa) and dreams of her main sporting achievement - the gold medal in the Premier Karate League.
