Efforts to strengthen support for Ukrainian veterans and their families continue.

Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Prykhodko visited Dnipro to review the work of facilities that provide assistance to veterans, their families, and the families of fallen defenders. Representing Donetsk region, Deputy Head Oleksandr Shevchenko took part in the meeting together with community representatives.

The participants discussed practical issues: how veteran policy works in reality, which needs remain unmet, and what should be strengthened immediately. Special attention was given to housing, as well as the work of support centers for internally displaced persons and veterans.

“For us, this is a matter of principle. Supporting veterans is not a formality, but a daily responsibility of the state and every community.

I thank Ruslan Prykhodko for his attention to Donetsk region and his willingness to personally address our requests,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
