Olena Lysenko from Vuhledar Continued Her Professional Career in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region

Published 28 October 2026 year, 20:34

After moving, it can be difficult to find a job in your field. But even far from home, it’s possible to find opportunities to continue your professional career and use your experience to help others.

Olena Lysenko is originally from Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast; due to the war, she moved to the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where she now lives in a rural area. She has over 20 years of experience working in social welfare administration, extensive professional expertise, and a knack for connecting with people.

In her new location, Olena wanted to return to work in a field she knows well and that is truly meaningful to her. At the same time, living in a village limited her job options, and the daily commute to another town was difficult.

Olena turned to specialists at the Sloviansk Office of the Kramatorsk Branch of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center for assistance with finding a job.

The specialists helped her find a remote position in her field. Olena was offered a position as a civil service specialist in the social protection department of the Olginskaya Settlement Military Administration

in the Volnovakha District of the Donetsk Region. Working online proved to be an advantage for her.

Olena successfully completed her internship and returned to her profession.

Today, she is once again working with people—particularly veterans—helping them navigate life’s challenges and access the necessary support and social services.
