On November 11, a meeting of the board of the regional administration's Department of Education and Science was held in Kyiv, chaired by Oleksandr Shevchenko, deputy head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration's Department of Education and Science, representatives of educational institutions in Donetsk Oblast, and heads of local communities and educational centers.
During the meeting, key issues of education development in Donetsk region under martial law, implementation of senior specialized school reform, results of the 2025 national multi-subject testing, and features of the admission campaign to vocational and pre-higher education institutions were discussed.
Separately, the participants focused on issues of support for children with special educational needs, the work of inclusive resource centers, and cooperation with trade unions in the field of protecting the rights of teaching staff.
Oleksandr Shevchenko noted: "Education is the most powerful weapon at all times. Teachers in Donetsk Oblast have always been and remain at the highest levels of professionalism. The war is testing our capabilities and strength, but we can teach children well, no matter what, and respond to challenges with coordinated work and thoughtful decisions."
