Teachers of Donetsk region participated in the Forum of Educational Innovations – 2025: education that inspires

Published 24 May 2025 year, 09:35

The II Forum of Educational Innovations took place in a mixed format, organized by the Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education. The event gathered over 270 educators from Donetsk region who shared innovative approaches and best practices in education.

The work of the forum was conducted along two key vectors. The first vector was dedicated to the topic "7th grade: New Ukrainian School in action – methodologies, practices, results." Teachers presented innovative methods of working in Ukrainian literature lessons, the use of cinematography and animation in teaching, formative assessment techniques, and interactive approaches to learning English.

Particular attention was paid to the use of metaphorical cards for developing associative thinking, success markers for students in art lessons, and the integration of history and literature. An interesting innovation was the comic interpretation of literary works, which helps students creatively reinterpret texts.

The second vector focused on digital distance education and tools for educators. School librarians shared their experiences in implementing digital technologies and artificial intelligence, while participants learned about the use of the Bamboozle service for reinforcing learning material through quizzes and games, and the online platform Teachy.app for automating routine processes of creating tasks and tests.

Practices of social-emotional learning through digital tools, "reviving" literary characters using neural networks, and the use of modern technologies in artistic education were discussed separately.

The forum demonstrated educators' commitment to innovation and the search for effective teaching methods in the context of the New Ukrainian School. Creative approaches and the integration of different subjects enrich the educational process and make it more engaging for students.
