On February 1, the Sheptytskyi People's House hosted a creative event called "Rozkolyada," which brought together community residents and gave the audience positive emotions.

Rozkolyada is an ancient Ukrainian custom symbolizing the end of the New Year and Christmas holiday cycle, which usually lasts from Epiphany to Candlemas. The event is filled with singing, carols, and Malanka celebrations — at Rozkolyada, people remember everything they did during the Christmas holidays.

Internally displaced persons from Donetsk Oblast, registered with the Yednannia humanitarian hub of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, were able to attend the event free of charge as part of the Side by Side: United Communities project.

The families received invitations as part of a memorandum of cooperation between the Pokrovsk and Sheptytsky communities aimed at supporting the adaptation of IDPs and strengthening social ties.

The program of the event featured performances by the Molodychky folk amateur dance group and the Rusnychok exemplary dance group. Their performances created a warm and uplifting atmosphere. All funds raised during the event were donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Dmytro Shynkar, head of the Pokrovsk Humanitarian Hub, was responsible for organizational matters and family support.

"Such events promote unity among people and create positive emotions. The performance was a sign of attention and support for internally displaced families," said Dmytro Shynkar.
