IDPs from Donetsk Region Find New Opportunities Through the Employment Service

Published 21 July 2025 year, 09:52

Olha is an internally displaced person (IDP) who has had to leave her home more than once due to the war. She holds a higher education degree in Accounting and Auditing and has extensive experience in the financial sector. In 2014, she relocated from Donetsk to Kramatorsk, where she worked with charitable organizations and continued developing her professional skills.

However, the renewed escalation of hostilities forced Olha to seek a safer place to live and work. She turned to the Employment Service for help.

The specialists carefully listened to her preferences, selected relevant job vacancies that included housing options, arranged an online interview, and supported her at every stage of the job search.

Olha became interested in a position as a packer-assembler at the LAMELLA state enterprise in the town of Tyachiv, Zakarpattia region. The Donetsk Employment Service has already established a successful partnership with this employer — several IDPs from Donetsk region have previously been hired there. Olha successfully passed the interview and started working at her new job at the end of June.

The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to support IDPs by helping them adapt to new living conditions and find decent employment.
