A highlight of the second session at the “Pearl of Donetsk and Zakarpattia” Regional Children’s and Youth Sanatorium and Health Resort was the two-day “STEAM Adventures” scientific and practical workshop, organized by Donetsk National Technical University in collaboration with the Donetsk Regional Junior Academy of Sciences for Schoolchildren.
Over the course of two action-packed days, 220 children and teenagers from various communities in the Donetsk region explored modern science through hands-on activities. Participants built models in the TOLOCAR mobile workshop, conducted chemistry experiments, learned to administer first aid, mastered the basics of forensic science, programmed OTTO robots, and tested their skills in piloting FPV drones.
Each themed station served as a space for learning and experimentation, where modern technologies were accessible and easy to understand, and theoretical knowledge was immediately put into practice.
The intensive program culminated in a spectacular science and chemistry show, during which the children watched fascinating experiments and were once again convinced that science can be interesting, interactive, and exciting.
“STEAM Adventures” provided the children with a wonderful opportunity to combine their summer vacation with creative discoveries and hands-on experience with modern technologies.
