Every minute counts during a rescue — and the readiness to repel the enemy is at its highest. This is how the recent evacuations from the frontline city of Pokrovsk took place. Despite the deadly danger, police officers, together with volunteers, carried out several trips into the city. Up to eight people can be evacuated in a single trip — for many, it’s their only chance to escape.
Evacuation requests are being received constantly. People quickly gather only the essentials and their pets, trying to leave the shelling zone as fast as possible.
"The drone hit — I lost vision in one eye, my leg was wounded," said a local resident.
During one of the evacuations, an enemy drone attempted to attack the police crew. Officers managed to shoot it down in time using a special anti-drone gun.
Thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of the “White Angels,” all trips were successful. The evacuees are now safe.
