This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The memorandum was signed today with the President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Vasyl Lazoryshynets.
The document provides for medical care for residents of Donetsk region in NAMS institutions.
“This is very timely, as the wounded and patients with chronic diseases must receive highly qualified care wherever they are.
NAMS unites 32 institutes (4 theoretical, 28 clinical). Recently, the Academy was admitted to the European Federation of Medical Academies.
Cooperation with the Donetsk Regional State Administration has lasted for decades: in the early 1990s, the first heart surgeries were performed at the Gusak Institute in Donetsk; after 2014, the Academy helped restore cardiac surgery and other fields.
We are now deepening cooperation on the basis of relocated institutions, in particular the Regional Intensive Care Hospital, which was relocated from Mariupol and is successfully operating in Kyiv.
Medical care for Donetsk residents will become even more accessible and of higher quality. We are working for the people,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
