The Ivan Karabits Bakhmut Professional College of Culture and Arts continues its systematic work with art school students, holding the regional review-competition “Bakhmut Spring – 2026” for the fourth consecutive week as part of the “Regional School of Pedagogical Excellence.”
On March 28, 2026, auditions were held for the “Folk Instruments” specialization, bringing together 76 talented performers from the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, and Khmelnytskyi regions. The Donetsk region was proudly represented by young artists from Myrnohrad, Kurakhove, Selidove, Toretsk, Novohrodivka, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Lyman, Kostyantynivka, Chasove Yar, Hirnyk, Dobropillia, and Sloviansk.
The participants demonstrated exceptional technical skill and depth of interpretation in their performances on the guitar, accordion, bayan, bandura, and domra. The contestants’ level of preparation attests to the preservation and development of the finest traditions of the Ukrainian folk instrumental school.
The performances were evaluated by a highly qualified jury, which included leading teachers, ensuring objectivity and professional analysis of each performance.
The Donetsk Regional State Administration systematically supports the region’s creative youth, creating conditions for the professional self-realization of Donetsk region’s children.
