Support in Action: How the Energy Independence Program for Sole Proprietors Helps Entrepreneurs

Published 13 May 2026 year, 16:38

In wartime conditions, state support programs become not just assistance for Ukrainian businesses, but a real tool for preserving and developing enterprises.

For example, entrepreneur Dmytro Sirenko from Myrnohrad was forced to leave his hometown in 2024 because of the war and start over in a safer region. Thanks to the “Own Business” project, he opened the “Computer-Servic” store-workshop. Today, the business operates successfully, providing computer repair, printing, photocopying, and laminating services, while also creating jobs.

However, a new challenge soon emerged — energy instability. At this point, the “Energy Support for Sole Proprietors” program played a crucial role.

By joining this initiative, Dmytro received financial assistance and was able to purchase fuel for a generator. This made it possible to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the workshop even during power outages, retain customers, and maintain a stable income.

The “Energy Support for Sole Proprietors” program is implemented through the State Employment Service, and applications can be submitted via the Diia portal: https://t1p.de/4gxyi, making the process as simple and accessible as possible. Employment service specialists support entrepreneurs at every stage — from consultation to successfully receiving assistance.

The application submission period has been extended until May 31, 2026. This means that entrepreneurs who have not yet taken advantage of this opportunity still have time to apply and receive support.
