Pupils of the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities "Mercy" who were evacuated to Neresnytsia village with their families went on an excursion to the city of Khust.

The trip was made possible thanks to the participation of the Pokrovska community in the national project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities".

Viktor Hrytsak, the head of the "Ednannia" hub of the Pokrovska MVA, became the organizer and guide for our countrymen.

The students of the center, together with their parents and the head Marina Alekseenko, got acquainted with the iconic places of the Khust community, which helped them learn more about the history of Transcarpathia and its rich traditions.

The group visited Khust Castle, a place on Castle Hill on the outskirts of Khust, where a castle-fortress was built in the XI-XII centuries. Today, only some parts of the once impregnable building can be seen here, but the participants of the walk were happy to see a 1:20 scale model of Khust Castle and walked through the park around the historical monument.

Also, our countrymen visited the local history museum and learned a lot of new and fascinating things about the history of Khust region.

In addition, the Pokrov residents enjoyed a walk around the city and visited the premises of the Ednannia hub, where the children from the Mercy Center received goodies.

We sincerely thank the partner Khust community for the care and support it gives to our residents. Together to victory!
