The open Championship of Ukraine in speedway took place at the "Hirnyk" motocross track in Sheptytskyi – a motorsport where riders compete on special oval tracks. The excitement of the sport is enhanced by the fact that speedway motorcycles do not have brakes or gearboxes. Athletes competed for the cups of the Igor Mark Memorial in the classes of 125, 250, and 500 cm³, demonstrating their skills and fighting for victory.
Thanks to the support of the mayor of Sheptytskyi, Andrii Zalivskyi, 20 internally displaced persons registered at the "Unity" hub of the Pokrovsk MVA received free tickets to this spectacular event.
"Partnership between our communities within the framework of the national project 'Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities' is not only about sharing experiences, developing community initiatives, but also about cultural integration. Such events contribute to the adaptation of IDPs, giving them new emotions and a sense of belonging. This is a great example of how the project helps to establish connections and strengthens the foundation of unity and resilience of the Ukrainian people in times of war," said the head of the "Unity" hub, Dmytro Shynkar.
The joint efforts of communities create new opportunities and improve people's lives.
