Employees of the Ocheretynska settlement military administration had the opportunity to meet a young, talented poet from Donetsk region, whose soul speaks the language of poetry. As part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," employees of the Verkhivtsivska city and Starobohorodchanska settlement territorial communities took part in the meeting.
Svitlana Fomenko is a Donetsk native with an active social and cultural stance who is involved in promoting the Ukrainian language and culture and makes a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian national and civic identity.
During the meeting, Ms. Fomenko talked about herself, her path to creativity, her inspiration, her favorite topics, and read her poems, fables, and humorous stories, as well as sang her songs. The meeting was very interesting, and those present had the opportunity to get answers to their questions. They say that words have power. The words of a poet are a fire that never goes out, they are memory, they are love, they are faith in goodness.
The attendees really enjoyed the poems, and everyone was impressed by the sincere, lively performance of the songs and poetry reading, as well as the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the meeting.
The meeting was organized as part of Ukrainian Language Week by the Department of Culture of the Ocheretynska Settlement Military Administration's Office of Education, Youth, Sports, and Cultural Development. Thanks to all the participants, the dialogue was warm, open, and extremely wonderful.
