This was announced by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and head of the regional military administration.
A separate space has been set up for each class in the shelter so that classes are not interrupted during air raid alerts.
Provisions have also been made for self-sufficiency: the lyceum has a backup power source, a large supply of non-potable water, and a reverse osmosis system for purifying drinking water. The system was successfully evacuated from Pokrovsk and has already been installed at the new location.
“Due to the security situation, schools and kindergartens in the Donetsk region cannot operate in their original buildings. But even in a relocated setting, we must create conditions so that children can learn safely and teachers can work under any circumstances.
We’re preparing for winter well in advance,” emphasizes Vadym Filashkin.
