Constant airstrikes, destruction, and mortal danger at every turn—this is how the Kramatorsk community lives today. The evacuation of children is underway here, carried out by “White Angel” police crews together with juvenile police officers and the State Emergency Service.

The enemy is mercilessly bombarding Kramatorsk and its surroundings with aerial bombs and artillery fire, while also deploying drones on a massive scale. While rescue workers clear the rubble after yet another strike and municipal services remove glass and debris from the streets, police officers rush to help people.

During their first call, the police officers rescued three elderly people from Parkova Street, whose home had been directly hit by enemy fire. With the help of volunteers, the group then set off for Poltava.

Among those rescued were two families with children. Tetyana and her 10-year-old daughter Yevheniia lived on the outskirts toward Bakhmut—the most dangerous area. After escaping from there, they spent the night in the city center to wait safely for law enforcement. In 2022, the family had already left for Lviv, but later returned home. Now they are forced to flee again.

“It’s scary to walk outside; I stay home all the time. All my friends have already left,” the girl says.

“White Angels” also helped a mother and her two daughters—7-year-old Veronika and 14-year-old Kira—leave. They will now live in the Kyiv region.

The police gave the children stuffed animals to help relieve the stress of the trip.

Staying in the community puts lives at risk every second. Due to the constant threat of shelling, children are unable to go outside and develop to their full potential.

The Donetsk Regional Police urge you: Do not delay your evacuation! Save your children’s lives. To register for evacuation, please call: 102, (066) 561-61-02, (066) 561-91-02.
