On November 6–8, in Kyiv, thanks to the initiative of UN WOMEN, trainings “Political Leadership of Women” were held for 20 participants from Donetsk region.
Certified experienced trainers Liliya Kislitsyna and Tetyana Baeva helped the participants strengthen their leadership and political skills, gain self-confidence and be inspired to take action.
💬 “I was impressed by the strength, resilience and determination of the women of Donetsk Oblast, who, despite the challenges of the war, strive to use political tools for democratic change and the movement towards European integration. It is especially pleasing that there are many young women among them,” emphasized Liliya Kislitsyna.
Before the trainings began, Liliya Zolkina, Head of the Department of Family, Youth and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, delivered a welcoming speech.
By the way, the selection was competitive: almost 80 applicants registered!
🌿 The trainings are held within the framework of the #SheLeadsUkraine initiative, which is implemented by UN Women in Ukraine in partnership with the Women's Consortium of Ukraine and the Bureau of Gender Strategies and Budgeting, in cooperation with the Central Election Commission of Ukraine and the Inter-Faction Association "Equal Opportunities" in the Verkhovna Rada, with financial support from the governments of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
