From May 19 to 27, 2025, within the framework of interdepartmental cooperation between the Department of Education and Science of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Security Service of Ukraine, a series of online lectures were held on the topic: “Easy Money – Deadly Consequences. How Not to Fall into the Trap of Russian Special Services.”
The aim of the events is to raise awareness among young people about the risks associated with illegal activities in the information environment, particularly in social networks and messengers. Special attention was paid to the manipulation methods used by Russian special services to recruit teenagers.
More than 3,000 people participated in the lecture: students from grades 9 to 11, youth, students from vocational and higher education institutions, as well as educators.
An SBU employee in the Donetsk region explained in an understandable way how, under the guise of “easy earnings” or “simple tasks,” young people can become victims of hostile influences. The discussion focused on real threats — from psychological trauma, loss of health, even life, to serious legal consequences — criminal liability and imprisonment.
Participants received practical advice:
- how to recognize dangerous content and fraudulent offers;
- how to act in case of suspicious activity online;
- where to seek help.
Informational materials developed by the Security Service of Ukraine in collaboration with the National Police of Ukraine were also provided to educational hubs and relocated educational institutions for use during educational work and preventive conversations.
The Department of Education and Science of Donetsk expresses gratitude to educators for their active participation in the implementation of this important task and calls to continue discussing the topic during educational hours.
Let’s work together to protect the future of our youth!
