A number of commemorative events were held in out-of-school educational institutions of Donetsk region on the Day of Remembrance of Children Who Died as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.
From May 23 to June 4, 2025, the regional appeal "Born Not for War!" was initiated by the Donetsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity. More than 600 pupils of out-of-school educational institutions in Donetsk region posted touching drawings, photos of compositions and handmade crafts on social media. Each work is a child's voice about the dream of living in a peaceful country, faith in Ukraine's victory and hope for a tomorrow without war.
From June 2 to 4, a regional commemorative event "NO to Child Deaths!" was held. More than 150 teachers posted thematic flyers on their social media pages and on the official page of the "Extracurricular activities of Donetsk region" on Facebook. By doing so, they publicly condemned the criminal actions of the Russian Federation that led to the deaths of Ukrainian children and expressed their solidarity with every family that lost a child as a result of the war.
Today we remember every child whose life was cut short by war. They are eternal angels whom Ukraine will not forget.
We will not forgive them. We remember. We are fighting for the sake of the living and for the memory of the dead!
