The national project "Side by Side: United Communities" continues to deepen cooperation between communities.

As part of the program, Serhii Rodin, Deputy Mayor of Bakhmut, and Viktoria Kushnir, Head of the Youth Policy and Children's Affairs Department of the Bakhmut City Council, visited the Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education, which was relocated to the village of Hoscha in the Rivne region.

Young people from different regions of Ukraine study at the Bakhmut Vocational and Technical Education Center. The teaching staff consists of employees who moved from Bakhmut and local specialists. Almost four years of joint work have created an environment of trust and support in which students learn a profession, learn to interact and help each other.

Education at the Vocational and Technical Education Center goes far beyond the classroom. Students take an active civic stance: they volunteer, prepare homemade treats for Ukrainian defenders, participate in military training, and support the cultural traditions of their communities.

Representatives of the Bakhmut community visited the dormitory. After renovations, the premises became warmer and more comfortable: rooms were renovated, new beds were installed, and living conditions were improved, allowing students to focus on their studies. During the meeting with the students, issues of adaptation to the new environment, psychological challenges, and the educational process in wartime were discussed.

The young people gave them sets of numbered paintings as a tool for art therapy, the board game "Code of Donetsk Region" to maintain ties with their native region and develop teamwork, as well as sports equipment to promote healthy leisure activities and interaction among the students.

"It is nice to see that despite all the challenges, children not only continue their education but also demonstrate awareness and patriotism. The living conditions here are decent. It is important that young students feel safe and have the opportunity to develop," said Serhiy Rodin.

The strength of the community is not limited by borders on the map — it lives in mutual support.
