As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” an online meeting was held between representatives of the social sector from the Bakhmut and Gostomel communities in the format of “Partner Introduction.”
Inna Spodina, head of the Social Protection Department of the Bakhmut City Council, and Serhiy Sutula, deputy head of the Gostomel Settlement Military Administration, addressed the participants. Sutula emphasized the importance of intermunicipal cooperation, the exchange of experiences, and the joint development of effective solutions to support community residents.
Community representatives presented the activities of their departments in the field of social protection, discussed key areas of work and current challenges, and shared their experience in supporting internally displaced persons, veterans, people with disabilities, families with children, and other vulnerable groups.
Special attention was given to introducing representatives of the partner communities’ departments to one another and exchanging experiences on organizing social services, implementing social support programs, and developing veteran policies.
Participants outlined promising areas for cooperation within the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, identified priority joint steps, and agreed to maintain an ongoing professional dialogue.
