On February 5, 2026, Kharkiv hosted a forum of the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities entitled "Resilience, Recovery, Development: Vision for Frontline Communities – 2026."
The event served as a platform for discussing the current challenges faced by frontline communities and identifying priority areas for their recovery and development in 2026.
The forum brought together representatives of territorial communities, local self-government bodies, executive authorities, and professionals from frontline regions of Ukraine.
The event was attended by representatives of the regional state administration and 25 territorial communities of Donetsk region, 14 of which attended the forum in person, while others joined the event online.
As a result of the forum, a common vision of the key priorities for the development of frontline communities in 2026 was developed, problematic issues requiring resolution at the state level were identified, and areas for further cooperation between communities, authorities, and development partners were determined.
The proposals developed are planned to be used in the formation of programs to support and restore frontline territories.
The forum became an important platform for exchanging experiences, consolidating efforts, and strengthening cooperation between communities that work daily in conditions of increased challenges and responsibility.
