On September 15, 2026, on International Democracy Day, a joint closing conference of the consortium and the third phase of the “Studios of the East” project, organized by the NGO “Association for Revival and Development,” was held in Kyiv under the title “Democracy in Action: Practical Solutions for Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.” More than 25 representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the region’s local communities participated in the event.
The event brought together a community motivated to participate in preparations for the reconstruction of eastern Ukraine, as well as in shaping practices of physical and informational engagement in the future of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
During the conference, participants discussed the results of implementing the National Strategy for Promoting Civil Society Development for 2021–2026, current challenges, expectations for the East, and plans for developing a new strategy.
A “Guide to Implementing Remote and Hybrid Forms of Resident Participation” was also presented, along with other practical outcomes of the project designed to ensure citizen engagement in the reconstruction and development of the regions.
