In Ivano-Frankivsk, the All-Ukrainian dialogue "Communities - Veterans 2025" took place. It was organized by the NGO "Space of Opportunities," which aims to develop and implement state veteran policies.
This year's dialogue involved over 800 participants from all over Ukraine, including government officials, city mayors, veterans, representatives of the public sector and business, as well as representatives from the Department of Veteran Policy of the regional state administration.
The theme of the dialogue was primarily dedicated to the support of military personnel, veterans, and their families, specifically how the system of development is formed and what is needed for its effective implementation.
The Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Farhad Farhadov, presented the results of introducing the position of veteran support specialist and emphasized the continuation of recruitment for these positions.
Since May, in the Donetsk region, two municipal non-profit health care institutions have included positions for veteran support specialists in their staffing plans.
In addition, the head of the regional military administration instructed military administrations to include positions for veteran and demobilized personnel support specialists in the staffing plans of health care institutions. Work is currently underway to create commissions for selecting specialists for the support of veterans and demobilized individuals.
At both the regional and local levels, one of the main tasks today is to ensure decent support for the Defenders of Ukraine, their families, as well as the families of fallen Heroes of Donetsk region.
