Representatives of the youth of the Donetsk Region, in particular the Youth Council under the Myrnynskyi Settlement Military Administration, took part in the Odessa Youth Forum — 2026 “From Ideas to Action”.
The forum brought together active youth, representatives of local governments, the public sector and youth organizations for an open dialogue, exchange of experience and development of new opportunities for youth.
The forum participants discussed current issues of youth policy, opportunities for implementing youth initiatives, development of partnerships and practical tools that help transform youth ideas into concrete projects and changes.
Among the speakers and participants of the event were Vitaliy Kim, Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine; Denys Ulyutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine; Oleksiy Nikitenko, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine; Volodymyr Tsololo, Head of Programs at the UNICEF Odessa Office; Svitlana Osaulenko, Member of the Odessa City Council, as well as representatives of youth organizations, the public sector and active youth of Odessa.
For representatives of the Youth Council at the Myrninsky Autonomous Okrug, participation in such events is an opportunity to establish new partnerships, exchange experience with representatives of other communities and organizations, gain practical knowledge and find new tools for the development of youth initiatives in the community.
It is important that the Odessa region has significant experience in the development of youth self-government. It was here in the 2000s that one of the first youth councils in Ukraine was created. Today, this experience continues to develop, uniting young people around common ideas, initiatives and specific actions.
The participation of Donetsk region youth in all-Ukrainian and regional youth events contributes to strengthening interaction between communities, forming new partnerships and creating opportunities for the active participation of young people in the development of their communities and Ukraine.
