Representatives of the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration joined the work of the International Conference “United for Justice: Strengthening Partnerships to Support Victims of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV)”.

The event was organized on the occasion of Ukraine’s chairmanship of the International Alliance to Prevent Sexual Violence in Conflict. The event brought together representatives of state authorities, international organizations, the diplomatic corps and the public sector to develop joint solutions to strengthen support for victims and improve mechanisms for responding to CRSV.

The opening of the event was attended by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, who welcomed the conference participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening support for victims of conflict-related sexual violence. Representatives of the Government of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, and international partners also joined the opening.

The conference program included panel discussions on joint interagency efforts in responding to conflict-related sexual violence, international practices in the field of victim protection, the role of civil society organizations, and strategic partnerships. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the national support system and effective coordination between state institutions and international structures.

The participation of representatives of the regions provided an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest international approaches and tools for supporting victims, as well as to receive practical recommendations that can be adapted and applied at the regional level. The lessons learned will contribute to further improving cooperation between regional institutions and implementing more effective models of responding to conflict-related sexual violence.

The conference concluded with thematic sessions and a discussion of further steps to consolidate national and international efforts in this area.
