The all-Ukrainian training "Formation of National Identity: Experience of Defenders and Civil Society Institutions" was a three-day forum that brought together 75 participants from communities in Donetsk Oblast and other regions of Ukraine.
The goal of the event is to develop a unified conceptual approach to the formation of civic identity based on common values, history and culture of our people. It is about raising the level of national consciousness and patriotism among Ukrainians.
The head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, greeted the participants of the online training and expressed hope that the next time the forum would be able to unite all our friends in Donetsk region.
Particular attention was paid to the experience of Ukraine's defenders - those who demonstrate their loyalty to the Motherland by their own example - and to the role of civil society institutions that actively influence the formation of civic identity.
The training will be an important step towards strengthening a unified Ukrainian identity based on state and national values.
