Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Ihor Boiko took part in a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Application and Implementation of International Humanitarian Law in Ukraine, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the updated composition of the Commission, agree on the creation of thematic working groups, discuss the preparation of a Voluntary Report on the implementation of international humanitarian law, and identify key priorities for further work.
“Donetsk region's participation in the Commission's work allows us to take into account the specifics of the region, which faces the challenges of war on a daily basis, and contributes to the formation of practical mechanisms to ensure compliance with international humanitarian law at the local level,” said Ihor Boiko.
