To mark the start of the school year, last week representatives of the regional state administration's social services visited children raised in family-type children's homes, foster families and guardian families at their temporary places of residence in Kirovohrad, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv and Odesa regions.
In total, 8 families were visited, namely: six foster families, a family-type children's home and a family of guardians.
During the visit, they discussed issues related to the provision of educational and medical services to children, as well as the urgent needs related to the arrangement of families in new living conditions.
Most of the families live in private houses equipped with necessary furniture and household appliances. In general, the material and technical support of the families is satisfactory. Each child has his or her own cozy space for sleeping, studying, resting and leisure.
In addition to the general education process, the children are involved in extracurricular activities, such as arts and crafts, music, dancing, drawing, and various sports clubs.
The children and parents were happy to meet with the representatives of the children's service, and were happy to tell interesting and unusual family stories and share their impressions of their new place of residence. Younger children showed their toys, drawings and handmade crafts. The meeting was warm and friendly.
During the visits, the families were provided with household kits, fruit and sweets for the children, who were wished a successful school year, useful knowledge, loyal friends, wise teachers, personal achievements and a peaceful sky above their heads.
