On September 25, representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy took part in a meeting with the families of service members who went missing under special circumstances while performing military service. The meeting was organized by a representative of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Main Investigative Directorate, the Specialized Center for the Search for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, under the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast, the Donetsk Oblast Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the State Scientific Research Expert-Criminalistics Center, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
During the meeting, representatives of these institutions provided the families of missing servicemen with necessary explanations on issues within their purview and discussed pressing problems faced by the families during their search for their loved ones.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration, outlined the Procedure for the 2026 use of subvention funds from the regional budget allocated to the budgets of territorial communities in Donetsk Oblast for the provision of monthly financial assistance to children who have the status of a family member of a deceased (deceased) Defender of Ukraine, Ukrainian military personnel taken prisoner, or persons missing under special circumstances while performing military service—including those who have a declared/registered place of residence (stay) within the territory of Donetsk Oblast and have relocated (evacuated) beyond its borders.
