On the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, a meeting was held with war veterans and families of fallen Heroes of Ukraine from the Mangush settlement community.

The event began with the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence to honor the memory of the fallen defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence and freedom.

The participants were greeted by Natalia Vorobyova, head of the Mangush settlement military administration, Artur Nasibyan, head of the regional state administration's department for veterans' policy, Dmitry Mikhalev, representative of the Ombudsman in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and Pavel Shtepka, acting head of the Mariupol district state administration and head of the district military administration.

The authorities expressed their gratitude and emphasized the resilience of the Ukrainian people, the importance of state support for veterans, and the key role of communities in creating a safe and dignified environment for all those who have served or are currently serving in the military.

Representatives of the Mangush Village Council, the Employment Center, the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities, and Mariupol State University provided practical information for the defenders and their families.

Participants of the event had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss current issues and receive individual consultations. This format facilitated an open dialog between the community, the authorities and the military.
