On September 25, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Vuhledar city community.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy and the chair of the Council of War Veterans under the Donetsk Regional State Administration participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- providing information on social guarantees offered at the national and regional levels;
- the implementation of the 2026–2028 program for medical and social protection, adaptation, and social rehabilitation of war veterans, family members of fallen (deceased) war veterans, and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, provided a detailed overview of additional social guarantees, including state housing programs and sanatorium-resort treatment for veterans and their family members funded by the regional budget.
