On March 20, a meeting was held with veterans, military personnel, and family members of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine from the Olginskaya settlement community and the Khlibodarivska rural community in the Volnovakha district, attended by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and the Donetsk Oblast Employment Center joined the meeting.
During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
- providing information on social guarantees offered at the national and regional levels;
- support measures: social programs for Defenders and their families in the Khlibodarivska rural territorial community;
- existing programs for defenders and their families in the Olhynska community;
- providing social services assistance to the families of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine and persons missing under special circumstances;
- employment service opportunities: from job search to starting one’s own business.
Following the meeting, participants discussed the current needs of veterans and their family members, identified priority areas for further support, and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between government agencies and communities to ensure the effective delivery of social services.
