On August 26, a meeting was held with veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine—both men and women—as well as military personnel recognized as missing in action or held captive—from the Kostiantynivka city community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Regional Employment Center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, the Kostiantynivka City Local History Museum, the civic organizations “UKRAINIAN INSTITUTE OF CRISIS MANAGEMENT,” “OURS. FAMILY COMMUNITY OF UKRAINE’S DEFENDERS,” and the deputy chair of the Council of War Veterans under the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
- the status of implementation of veteran policy in the Kostiantynivka City Territorial Community;
- types of financial assistance provided using funds from the Kostiantynivka City Territorial Community. The procedure for obtaining a housing voucher for internally displaced persons in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1176;
- the activities of the specialist responsible for supporting war veterans and demobilized persons;
- honoring the memory of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Kostiantynivka City Territorial Community;
- results of the two-year project by the International Charitable Foundation “Unity. Search. Victory.” Collaboration between the public and authorities in 2026;
- the activities of the civic organization “OURS. FAMILY COMMUNITY OF DEFENDERS OF UKRAINE”;
- opportunities offered by the employment service for job search and professional development;
- the payment of a one-time cash benefit to war veterans and certain other categories of citizens on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration, spoke about state and supplementary social guarantees funded by the state and regional budgets—including housing programs—and answered questions from the audience.
