On April 28, a meeting was held with war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine from the Lyman city community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the regional state administration’s department for veteran policy, a representative of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the regional employment center, and the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast.
The following issues were discussed:
- providing information on social guarantees provided at the national and regional levels;
- the grounds for obtaining an extract from the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances;
- the implementation of veteran policy within the territory of the Lyman City Community;
- additional social guarantees funded by the local budget of the Lyman City Community;
- the provision of administrative services to war veterans and family members of deceased war veterans, Defenders of Ukraine;
- current programs of the State Employment Center for combatants, persons with war-related disabilities, and their spouses;
- pension benefits and provision of housing and utility service benefits to war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine;
- honoring the memory of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Lyman City Community – “Book of Remembrance.”
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy, provided information on the availability of state and additional social benefits funded by the regional budget.
